Had to post this. My other son is a huge Celtics fan and so is my hubby. This one is representing Lebron and the Heat.....Let's see who wins.

Not much new here but it has been sunny so walking to the store every day is something I am enjoying. It is only about a mile round trip but it's better then walking in the rain. On a better note I am reading a good book. It's called The Snow Angel by Glenn Beck. I am totally enjoying this. Usually I get time in the afternoon to sit at my bistro table and dive into a good book and this is the one. I know it's a Christmas read but it is such a good book I just had to read it. It's about hope. books about hope and redemption are always the best Christian reads.

Bad blogger

It terrible that I have neglected my blog for so long, but unlike my hubby's last deployment, we have been using facebook a lot to keep in touch. Well he will be home soon, sometime the end of march so maybe I will get back to blogging a bit. There is always something going on.

Moved from non-renovated quarters to renovated quarters. I am pretty happy with the new look but my favorite part is these glass fronted cabinets. I love them. I will have to give them up once we change duty stations but for now I will enjoy them. On a better note my computer is up and running and Directv guy will be out here tomorrow so I am looking all moved in.

Stupid snow

New cookbook

While searching, yet again, for another new crock pot I came across this cookbook. The reviews sounded great. Now I am considering adding this one to my collection. Has anyone else seen this cookbook? I am also considering the Hamilton Beach Premiere Cookware 5-1/2-Quart Slow Cooker which also got great reviews. I love the idea of browning the meat or veggies in the crock itself and then placing it into the base and adding the rest of the ingredients, what could be easier? A chef!

With so many recalls out there I thought this site might be of interest to some of you. I just bought jalapenos the other day and now there is a recall. A lot of recalls on ground beef too. I check this site frequently along with the FDA site and pass the info. along to everyone I can, but this site has a lot of good information so you can't go wrong. It's good to check it the day before grocery shopping too.

Haven't blogged in awhile but was going through some old pics and found one of hubby in his launcher from years ago. I think this was White Sands Missile Range. Now he is an MP serving in Afghanistan. My kids could not believe this was there dad. They only remember him as an MP. It was funny their reaction to the MLRS. I had to show them the launch on youtube and they were like "why did he want to be an MP when he can shoot rockets all day" Too funny. I said "working on the launcher is a young persons job."

Heaven is Here

I'm so glad Stephanie's new book is finally ready for pre order. I can only imagine the impact this book will have. I read the preview and it was amazing. You can read all about it here: Heaven is Here I can only imagine what it would be like to start my life over after a plane crash. Stephanie is an amazing woman and her family is just as amazing. Can't wait to read her book. I prayed for her since the day of her crash and it looks like the prayers from her family, friends, and bloggers around the world were answered.

How crazy does this look? I hate heights so the first thing I thought when I saw this picture was "no way will I ever try this. How about the waiter? I wonder how much they pay him for this job. I can only imagine that he would not work for tips alone. What kind of insurance do they have, just in case. See I'm neurotic and I am keeping my feet firmly planted on the ground.
