Well it's been forever since I have had a chance to write. I finished Payback by Fern Michaels. That was a pretty cool book and I have started "Wildwood Road," by Christopher Golden. So far it is pretty spooky.
Sunday is the big day and may the best team win "hopefully the Steelers," we will just have to wait and see.
Another great muffin recipe I made this week. This one is awesome for anyone out there liking blueberries
1 2/2 Cups flour
3/4 Cups white sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup oil
1 egg
1/3 Cup milk
1 to 1 1/2 Cups fresh or frozen blueberries

1/2 Cup white sugar
1/3 Cup flour
1/4 Cup butter cubed
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 400. Grease muffin tin.

Combine 1 1/2 Cups flour, 3/4 Cups sugar, salt, and baking powder. Place oil in 1 cup measuring cup and add the egg and enough milk to make 1 Cup. Mix this with flour mixture. Fold in blueberries. Fill muffin tin to the top and sprinkle with crumb topping mixture

To make crumb topping mix 1/2 Cup sugar, 1/3 Cup flour, 1/4 Cup butter, and 1 tsp cinnamon. Mix with a pastry blender or fork until crumbly.

Bake 20 to 25 min. Do not omit crumb topping this is the best part.

A little tidbit from France on the flu. Take 1 tablet mucococcinum every two weeks during flu season. If you happen to get the flu Take Oscillococcinum. Also increase vitamin C to 150,000 mg per day or more. The Acid aids in stopping the flu in its tracks.

Ok you know the spiel "Go Steelers." We are all rooting here in Hawaii, (that is me and the other Steelheads), that the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl. Update to follow.
I made a smashed strawberry recipe yesterday that was awesome. Here it is:
1 2/3 Cups fresh or frozen (thawed) strawberries
2/3 Cup sugar
1/3 Cup oil (I use Enova)
2 eggs
1 1/2 Cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon (make sure to add this it gives a great flavor)
Heat oven to 425 F.
Spray muffin tin (12 cup) with PAM
Slightly smash strawberries in a lg. bowl using fork
Stir in sugar, oil and eggs until mixed
Stir in other ingredients until moistened
Spoon batter into muffin cups
Bake 15 to 18 min.
Cool 5 min.
I use a silicon muffin thingy and this is awesome because you can just pop them out when they cool. Enjoy!

Update on "Chronicles of Narnia." It was an awesome movie. A lot of bloodshed so I probably wouldn't bring a kid younger than 6 to it. I definitely recommend it for families with children old enough to understand fantasy vs reality.

Of course today I will write about tomorrows game between Pittsburgh and Denver. I will predict a win for Pittsburgh if the refs don't try to rob them in Denver. I do believe it is time for a Steelers superbowl. Tomorrow we will be watching at the Dave and Busters in Honolulu with Steeler Steve and the Hawaii Steelheads. There should be a great crowd and hopefully lot's of celebrating. Any Steeler fans in Hawaii stop by.
Me and the kids will probably check out "The Chronicles of Narnia," at the Sharkey Theater in Pearl Harbor. Last week we saw "Chicken Little," and that was so funny. I will let you know if it is any good.
Finished "Perfect Nightmare," by John Saul. The book was awesome and the ending left you wanting more as always with John Saul.
Watch Oprah on Monday. She will be having people on discussing Iraq and other issues. Most of them come from Arab nations so there insight will be helpful. They are supposed to give you tips on how to keep yourself and your family members safe in a changing world. It wouldn't hurt to watch this info.

Did anyone out there watch Dr. Phil yesterday? I'm glad they showed the brain mapping for Aspergers but I wish people knew that their is brain mapping for ADHD also and shows a clear difference in an ADHD brain vs normal. I have ADHD and can tell you that it is a real disorder that is a lot harder to deal with then people know. It deffinately can interfere with life and does on a daily basis.
On a lighter note I am reading "Perfect Nightmare" by John Saul. This book is a great read for any Saul fans and also horror fans out there. It is truly terryifying especailly if you have a teenage daughter like I do. The book is based around an abducted girl who was taken after an open house.
Today I am searching all over the net for an authentic taco recipe. My husband is Mexican and he would like to have them as soon as he gets out of the field. He is in the Army and is training heavily for a deployment to Iraq in August. That would give me a heck of a lot to write about. If any one has a great recipe for tacos please share.
I'm thinking of putting up a donation jar because my dream is to write a book on ADHD. My son's friend commited suicide a year ago this October and I watched this kid suffer with this disorder for years and would like to write a book that may someday save another kid or someone else. I could do a pixel page. Any suggestions from anyone which I should pursue. Donation or pixel.
Steelers go to Denver next Sunday. Hope they win. I would like to see Bettis get a ring before retirement. He really worked hard his career and deserves one.
I don't think I will get to the pro bowl this year even though I live in Hawaii. I am only walking distance to the Aloaha stadium. Due to my husbands training though it will be highly unlikely,
Today is my grandson Julian's birthday. Happy Birthday Julian.

Just me

All That Blog
1/16/2006 This blog will include all subjects. I am an at home mom. 41 (soon to be 42). I have 7 children. Two are moved out and my oldest daughter has a son and a baby on the way making me a grandma. I have created this blog because I love to talk and am constantly gabbing so I thought this might be an interesting forum for me. I have so many interests. Two of my boys have ADHD and so do I. I have a lot of information on this so I may post about my trials with this disorder. I hope to get some comments and lots of traffic eventually.

Polamalu robbed

1/16/2006 I'll start off this blog with my analysis of the Steelers game. I am a Dallas Cowboys fan, but my husband is a Steelers fan. So I will call myself a pseudo Steelhead. First off I'm glad for the Steelers win but can't understand why it was so hard. The Polamalu interception was a bad call on the ref's part and it seems pretty pathetic that they can't actually justify it. Can someone tell me how you can blow the whistle at the end of a reception (ending the play) and then clearly see Polamalu's knee hitting the ball as the start of another play? Then why when he fall's on top of his own fumble is the play called a fumble not reception? Clearly all players must now stand there when they fumble the ball because the recovery part of fumble recovery has now been declared null and void. Then they decide that the refs will say it wasn't a reception at all. Well if this is the case how many seconds do you actually have to control the ball for it to be an actual reception (10 minutes) ha ha ha. I think the ref's should review this and come clean. We all know Troy was robbed.
