Today I made these. So far they look just like in the picture. I haven't tried one yet but I will let you all know how they come out. I have to see if they pass the "boys test" first. I was inspired by Mikki who is going gluten free. My two sons struggle with ADHD and I have to watch what they eat. Both do much better on foods that have no dye's or preservatives, but I've wondered if gluten free would make a difference. I am reading Jenny McCarthy's book "Healing and Preventing Autism," and in it she has a chapter on ADHD. Anyway making the connection with gluten and other things I have to wonder. I also received a cookbook from AMAZON, "Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day," that I purchased before the end of Dec. (as not to break my book buying diet) and this book contains a chapter with gluten free recipes, tried out on the authors nephew who needs to be gluten free. Apparently her recipes pass the taste test too. I'll let you all know how the brownie's taste later.

Let me know how they taste. We made some gluten-free brownies from scratch at our homeschool co-op last year and the taste was very different. They were almost like a cake made without flour - a really silky texture. It was weird they way they seemed to melt on your tongue - but delicious!

I'm sure it will be a change at first, going from what they're used to eating to gluten free, but surprisingly I've actually tried a lot of gluten free recipes and you can't really tell the difference :)

I saw these in the store the other day! I was soo excited! Let me know how they taste!!

I'm excited your looking into the gluten free thing too. It will be fun to see how it goes with both of us doing it.

I haven't read Jenny's book, but I've watched her on interviews and always thought she was great!

We've weaned off a lot of processed foods this past year but I've considered going gluten free. I definitely see dramatic changes in our boys behaviour (they have adhd too) when we have a better and healthier diet. I'll look into gluten free cooking. Thanks for the heads up!
