Oh fiddlesticks

Last night I went to turn on my tv, I have the DISH, and nothing. No signal, no menu, nada. I called the company and they couldn't get it going so I will have to call today for a technician. The kids here do not get to watch a lot of tv, but there are 5 of them and it is the weekend. I said "Oh well," to the kids, "I guess we are celebrating National turn off the tv week a little early this year." In the back of my mind I was thinking various four letter words that I probably couldn't even legally put on this blog. Not that I'm an addict, but I do have my shows I can't miss. You know, The Apprentice, Extreme Home Makeover, Desperate Housewives, and I'm sure I could think of more if put to the wall. I am going to resort to putting out my little back up tv with the antenna. Seems like I'm moving back in time. Let's hope the tech can get out here ASAP, before I go totally nuts.

Boy, do I understand that Christina. I'd go into shock if I turned the TV on and nothing happened. And it's not even that I watch all that much TV but do NOT tell me I'm going to miss The Apprentice. I hope they get it repaired soon. I'd go nuts, too.

Oh - I definitely sympathize Christina. We complain about the awful programming, and yet we would be lost without the silly thing. My son and his wife don't have a tv in their home. They have two little girls. At first I thought, how in the world are they going to keep the girls entertained? But you know - somehow it works. They read and play games and they love to listen to the Odessey cds that Focus on the Family puts out. It's amazing.
Having said that - I would still definitely miss my tv.

I thought I noticed a twitch under your left eye. he he! I will only say that we are both cheap and running a bit scared after having two TV's hit by lightning here in the lightening capital of the world. We haven't had cable for 15 years. We love the Apprentice and the American Race and Survivor Island.

Good luck! Hope they fix it soon or you are going to feel like you are on Survivor Island...Hawaii style! lol

As sad as it sounds I have used only the little black bunny ears for years. This is the first time in probably 7 years that we have had cable...

I totally understand. You just HAVE to watch your favorites. And it's torture if you miss ONE single episode. I hope it's up and running soon!

Aw man! That sucks. I'd be REALLY ticked off if my tv went out on Sunday night! I stay up until 11pm when Brother's & Sister's is finished. My sister comes over & we watch those programs together.

Sorry your dish wasn't working! Hope they come out and fix it soon. We only have bunny ears, but there are no shows that I absolutely have to watch. I have several favorites, but if I miss them, I just watch them online during the day with Olyvia. lol
Have an awesome day!!

Ugh Chris I can totally understand, I always think I don't watch much tv but when I start thinking about it, I really DO LOL

I would be freaking out if nothing happened with mine, isn't it amazing how addicted we are to some shows....

Hope it gets fixed soon,
Sandra
