Camp

My two boys, Dominic 11 and Damian 10, are attending a camp called Camp DEFY. You can read about it here. This camp is supposed to teach the kids how to avoid drugs, build their self esteem, and some other things. It is a great camp for kids and thanks to the military they can attend free with most of their friends. In the article it describes how intense this camp can actually be but so far the boys really like it. At the end of the month they will attend Camp Operation Purple which is a 6 day overnight camp for kids with a deployed parent. Again thanks to the military it will be free. It is a place the kids can have fun and talk about deployment issues with other kids in the same boat. Is anyone else's kids attending camp? If so how do they like it?

What a great idea letting these kids come together to talk about whats on their minds. Plus having fun is not so bad either.

My Little T will be going to a Christian camp for a week on the river. He went last year on a scholarship for his missions work. He is excited about going again this year. I think camps are a good thing.

Take care my friend.
