v. feared, fear·ing, fears

Yesterday my dad asked my about fear. I honestly answered I have no fear. I am not sure when this came to be but I suspect it was many years ago ate age 20 when I stepped into my first Pentecostal church. I started off in a Catholic church. Not saying anything bad about this, but the first time I went to a church that told me Jesus was my friend and that I alone could have a personal relationship with Him. I was hooked. Years later I attended a Baptist church in Oklahoma called Cameron Baptist. I also loved this church. I now attend a First Assembly of God. I suspect that how I lost my fear was involved with my prayer life. Anyone who knows me knows I talk to Jesus all the time. Out loud, in my head, with my kids, ALL THE TIME and somewhere along the line I just got used to Him being there. I basically live in a total state of peace. Occasionally I get a little agitated, like when the satellite tv dish goes down, but other than these stupid things, I am pretty much calm. I will admit to being hyperactive, but calm at the same time. I have been told by many that I am a positive person, that I am lucky, that I am like a cat who has nine lives and always lands on it's feet. Again not so. I just talk to Jesus and He always answers. That is why I love the song down below. My favorite part is this one: and I will fear no evil, for my God is with me, and if my God is with me, Whom then shall I fear, Whom then shall I fear. I guess that is just how it is for me. I know a lot of people who have this same experience. My daughter Vanessa has a close relationship and prays all the time too. She has no fear of going to East Timor. Even though it will be dangerous. I pray a lot, like I said. I prayer in the morning before my kids rise, I pray in my van with my kids at the road in front of the school, I pray with my hubby, I pray with my friends, I even pray when I loose my car keys, although I am not expecting this to be taken too seriously by God. I also talk to God. For instance I will say something mean or inappropriate and then I look up and say sorry. Everyone knows who I am talking to. I was just talking to God the other day while folding laundry and I was saying Jesus I really think You must have a great sense of humor. I hope so since I am always saying funny things and looking up to say just kidding. I think if God created me in His image, and since I am a very humerus person, I can assume God has a great sense of humor. In fact sometimes my kids will say "mom maybe only God thinks your funny." What does that mean? I think It means I am not as funny as I think. I still think God thinks so. Sometimes I think God is the only one listening to me. My kids will say who are you talking to or my hubby will say the same and I will say "not you, I am talking to God dummy!" I apologize for the dummy, it kind of just slips out. It's like thinking doesn't everyone talk to God out loud, duh. My prayer for you all today is that you all find peace and calm in talking to our Lord Jesus.

Thank You Jesus for allowing me to have a personal relationship with You and thank You for blessing me with the ability to share this with everyone I know. May all reading this blog be blessed by You with peace and calm. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

PS and Please, Please, Please let Sams have my French vanilla creamer in stock today. (I feel Him smiling right now at me). And Thank You Lord for this sense of humor that makes all my friends laugh with me, or maybe it's at me. I love You and Thank You for your angels who follow me every day. Oh and thanks for the angels you sent to surround my mom. Amen

PSS Did I tell you all that God also made me one who talk too much? Obviously He knows as you can tell by the above run on prayer. Like who PS's God? That would be me.

LOL! First I laughed at your comment on my blog: "emotional attachment" - I might agree except for I can't imagine why I would have an emotional attachment to a stack of 15 year old magazines that I never read or papers, or shoes etc. for that matter!! I think it's way beyond that. :(

But I LOVED your post. I need to just be in that constant state of prayer - maybe I would be more inclined to let go of STUFF!

I think it's cool that you just talk to God without complicating it - what prayer should be.

By the way, there is an AG blog ring if you want to join...full of very diverse ideas...

I only wish I could pray like you do LOL

When I try to pray I tend to get so technical, it's more like a president's speech to parliament...UGH....frustrating LOL

Whom shall I fear? In our family we talk about "getting God" in our lives. When we realize the amazingness of walking so closely in our words to Him, our thought to Him there truly is nothing to fear. Life still happens that we do not have control over, but really whom shall we fear? I loved your blog today.
