moose?

Okay today my kid came home from school wearing this, backwards of course. I said "how cute are you a moose?" What do you think he said? "I'm not a moose, I'm a monkey." Of course, a monkey, I should of guessed.

Truth?

I had to take a peak at this new show: "The moment of Truth." I really didn't find it all that bad, but they did not get up to the most difficult questions yet. The real problem I have with this is it can be entirely misleading. For instance they asked this guy "Have you ever hid something from your wife." Of course the lie detector is going to say your lying if you say no, but how do you answer this. What if the poor guy hid a present he bought for her, or what if he bought a candy bar and didn't tell her. Another question was "do you keep a secret bank account from your wife?" What if he does but it only has $2.00 in it and he keeps it on the side because he is saving to buy her a nice vacation for retirement?" Does this really count as bold faced lying? I guess all this can be explained after the show, but I really think this game might not be all that truthful.

Great prediction

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady celebrates a first down against the San Diego Chargers during the fourth quarter Sunday.

New England Patriots You're right dad, New England is going to win the Super Bowl, Thank God!

A few months ago my dad said it doesn't matter who goes to the end since the Patriots are going to win the Super Bowl anyway. This prediction was of course made when the Cowboys were winning. It seems to me now that this prediction is probably correct.

Rock Band

Who invented this anyway?

Dad bought the kids this yesterday. It is one of the noisiest toys ever, yet one of the most fun. This morning they were wanting to play it at 6 am. Poor me. I will have to admit I can't wait to try out the drums on Tuesday when all the kids are back in school. I've heard this game is very addictive. All I know for sure is the kids are having a blast so far. The other great thing is that the whole family can actually play. Video above.

Okay a little bit weird

It's a little weird when in a house full of Dallas fans your kid runs around in this shirt all year...

It gets a little weirder when your realize your other kid has been running around in this shirt all year.

If I was a betting girl I would say Green Bay is going to take it all the way since the Patriot shirt Damian is wearing has Kelly on it and he is no longer with the Pats, yet good old Brett is still in the mix. Although Brady is #12. Mm I wonder if God is trying to tell me something.

Looks like a jellyfish

New Diet Pill: The Expanding Blob

by J. Foster

Wired Magazine reports on a new diet pill - a pill that expands into a gelatinous blob the "size of a tennis ball" after swallowing.

Sound appetizing?

The pill is currently undergoing clinical trials in Italy.

The unnamed pill is made from a cellulose compound of hydrogel, a material that's powdery when dry but plumps up to a cousin of Jell-O when wet. The gel can soak up to 1,000 times its weight.

The plan is to create an effect that is similar to a gastric bypass - but without the surgery.

However - as one commenter points out: "aside from being a growth medium for plants, this class of material is also used in diapers and feminine napkins".

I was reading my Self magazine the other day, I think it was an old issue, an article on this was in it. I just thought it was a cool idea but kind of funny how it was described here. Imagine a pill that becomes a gelatinous blob in your stomach that you eventually digest made out of baby diaper material. Bon Apetit!

Happy Birthday to me?

No it's not my birthday until February, but my husband keeps asking me what I want. Usually I don't want anything, I'd rather go with him to pick something out, like at the bookstore. This year I was watching Oprah and since I am into Method cleaning supplies, the environmental friendly stuff, I was excited to see Shaklee offer a discount for their green starter kit. I excitedly called Dominic at work and said "I know what I want for my birthday," He asked me what it was and I said "I want the kit from Shaklee that has all the cool cleaning supplies in it. In fact it is being offered for only $89.00." He said ''You want me to buy you cleaning supplies for your birthday?" Duh, didn't I just say that. He said "I'll buy you those anyway, now what do you really want?" I can't believe he is not as excited by cleaning products as I am so I tell him how they are environmental friendly and how the kids won't have to smell toxic products in their house and how everything will smell fresh and natural. Silence. He doesn't seem to register this as more than a 0 on the excitement scale of 1-10. Oh well I tried and yes I still want cleaning supplies for my birthday.

PS Please disregard the comment left on the previous post by Pops Ct. They are just the old folks with nothing better to do!!! Yes that would be you mom and dad!

computer

It's amazing that I ever get to use one of the 4 that are in the house. Usually my 15 year old is on some kind of game which takes at least 2 hours a day to play, then my 17 year old is on my laptop myspaceing the entire universe I'm sure. My hubby likes to keep his at work locked in his office and now my 4 year old says to me this morning, as he is playing on the PBS kids web site, "don't turn off my game." Well la di. So where does that leave me? My brand new Apple laptop I got for Christmas last year is definitely my favorite. Although I have PC's everywhere else, and although I only tried the Apple because I had a great deal coupon since I bought an IPOD for my daughter a few years back, I have found I absolutely love it and probably won't go back to PC as far as laptops go. My husband has the really expensive brand new Dell and I don't like all the security you have to put on it. My Apple loads in exactly 30 seconds and never has security issues, in fact hubby wants one of them. Ha ha it's mine, or is it really. In actuality by the time I sit on the couch at 10:30pm to get on my laptop I realize once again that my daughter has run the battery dry and at 17 do you think she knows what the word recharger means? Maybe we need another computer so the cat have one too..
